"This peacock puzzle was a joy to create. I could really take advantage of the bird in all its finery, from the glorious shimmering colors on the body to the wonderful graphic shapes in the tail feathers. I wanted to make sure that every inch of space was filled with interest and with my love of pattern and texture that wasn’t difficult. I have used paint, ink, oil pastels and pencils to make up the hundreds of sample papers, which were then cut and pasted together to make the final image. The addition of the gold foil takes the puzzle to another level, adding a layer of opulence to complete the image of a glorious and dazzling bird."
